Audition Information

No previous experience is required, but music ministry ensembles require a short audition for new members. We want to get to know you and your gifts to help you find a good fit among the different ensembles! Walk-in auditions for the 2024-2025 academic year have already taken place, but there are available spots in some ensembles depending on your instrument or vocal range. Contact Molly Mattingly for an audition time!

  • Fill out this audition info form and send it to Molly Mattingly or bring it with you to your audition.

  • Prepare about a minute of a song or instrumental piece of your choosing to share with us. You can sing/play a cappella, with a recorded accompaniment, accompanying yourself, or you can bring sheet music and trust the sight-reading of the accompanist at the audition. Show off a little with any piece you like, or you can always do “Amazing Grace!” If you would like to be considered to cantor funerals or weddings, please prepare and sing Schubert’s “Ave Maria” in your preferred key.

  • We'll do some vocal stretching (even for instrumentalists), a short section of something new to you, answer your questions, and get to know your preferences to help you find the best fit.
