Audition Information
No previous experience is required, but most music ministry require a short audition for new members. We want to get to know you and your gifts to help you find a good fit among the different ensembles! Auditions for Creighton University students are walk-in August 24 and August 25 between 1:00-4:00pm in Campus Ministry (Lower Swanson Hall). Students auditioning as a liturgical accompanist or as a cantor for funerals or weddings should contact Molly Mattingly ahead of their audition.
Those who are not Creighton University students should contact Molly Mattingly for a separate audition time.
Fill out this audition info form and send it to Molly Mattingly or bring it with you to your audition.
Prepare about a minute of a song or instrumental piece of your choosing to share with us either a cappella, with a recorded accompaniment, accompanying yourself, or trusting the sight-reading of the accompanist at the audition. You can show off a little with any piece you like, or you can always do “Amazing Grace!”
We'll do some vocal stretching, a short section of something new to you, answer your questions, and get to know your preferences to help you find the best fit.
